The new homes in Asola and Myyrmäki were warmly welcomed
The buildings and their modern flats received positive feedback from residents. Both buildings were fully let even before completion.
During the autumn, two new VAV rental properties were completed, adding a total of 174 new homes to Vantaa. A modern and cosy Swan-labelled rental block was built on Lipstikkakuja in Asola, whilst Myyrmäentie gained an impressive 17-storey landmark in the heart of a hub for services and transport links.
Thoon and Kristian, who have moved to Myyrmäentie, said they were very pleasantly surprised by their flat. Together with other VAV residents, they were given the chance to explore their new block of flats and their future home before moving in.
“Our neighbourhood is neat and tidy, and our new flat is very modern. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the balcony – it’s huge,” says Thoon with a laugh.
It is important to Thoon that her home is close to her parents. She values good transport links and admires, amongst other things, the lovely views and the building’s communal courtyard in her new home.
“I want everyone to know about these rental flats – they’re brilliant,” Thoon enthuses.
The new buildings attracted widespread interest
Both rental blocks attracted a great deal of interest in Vantaa right from the start.
“Let-outs for our new developments got off to a flying start in early summer. We received a large number of applications straight away, and interest remained at its peak throughout the summer,” says VAV’s Let-out Manager Sanna Tuomola .
“The busy letting season culminated in both residential blocks being fully let even before completion. This demonstrates not only the appeal of the developments, but also that there is demand for high-quality, affordable housing,” she continues.
Residents of Myyrmäentie and Lipstikkakuja have now settled into their new homes, and feedback on the flats has been positive.
“The homes on Lipstikkakuja have received particular praise for their light, modern colour scheme and their carefully designed bathrooms,” says Tuomola.
“Residents of Myyrmäentie, for their part, particularly appreciate the open views and practical floor plans, which make everyday life run smoothly. The building’s location offers excellent amenities, transport links and a wide range of leisure activities right on the doorstep.”

Thoon, who has moved to Myyrmäentie
